Respect animals, also when we kill them

In many countries, associations fight rightly against the cruelty to animals, and mainly against the use of animals as subjects of medical experiments.

Indignation, that we share all, against the pain that animals can then undergo. However most of us (and myself) eat the same animals, cattle, poultry, fishes, without wanting too much to think of the cruel treatments of what it can involve.

Not so long ago, I had bought a whole kid in an organic shop which was of use as no warehouse to organic breeders. It seemed to involve a breeding 'person in charge' looking for the well-being of animals.
You have through these few photos a report of the fact that in suffered this animal during its slaughter. This kid has can be had a happy existence, but had a death in how much terrible.

It is necessary to say that if I ate well the body of the kid, with a little of shame, it is true, I was not able to resolve to eat this head.

It is, certainly, about techniques presented in a dictionary of agriculture of 1892, and the methods certainly changed well today, but on the bottom, it is about the same purpose : slaughter, kill as quickly as possible, in a profitable way, and with least inconvenience both for the animal and for the employees. The article clarifies the various manners of slaughter of this perio, by trying to show those them less painful for the animal.
